Oh. My. Goodness. I’ve got the Remedy, indeed, or rather, Hunt Country Vineyards does! Hunt Country is a family-owned vineyard located in Branchport, NY. According to their website, they have been, “farming on the west side of Keuka Lake for seven generations,” and it shows!
Their April 2020 bottled wine, “Remedy” is a sparkling, rose, “porch-sipping” wine, as my mother, Sharon, would say. The day she and I enjoyed this bottle, it went so fast she even made a point to say, “hide this bottle so no one sees we finished it that fast!” As you can see from the photos, it went so fast I didn’t even have time to take a picture with the full bottle!
This sparkling rose was crisp and not too sweet at 1.75% residual sugar. It was good on its own, but could also be delicious with a few nibblers I’m sure too. It’s the kind of wine you could take on a picnic during a hot summer’s day.
Although I’ve only enjoyed this newly released wine on a couple of occasions so far, I’m already adding it to my ‘Frequently Sipped’ page. I know I’ll be coming back to it again and again in the summer months to come. Thank you, Hunt Country!
